External Users is a role type that can only view content and categories specifically designated to them by an admin or creator.
Some user-cases for External Users are:
- Contractors
- Vendors
- External Partners
- Temporary or Contingent Workers
- Pre-FTE employees
- And much more
External Users only see content that is specifically segmented to External Users. External Users exists as a Department within Continu. Any content segmented to External Users will not be available to internal users unless it is also segmented to that internal user's Department.
Categories can also only be seen if content segmented to External Users is found within the Category. For example:
