Workshops pull data from your computer's internal date and time which can affect not only creation of a Workshop but a user's experience. If you encounter a discrepancy with a noted date and/or time, one place to troubleshoot is your computer's internal settings.
On PC:
Step One: Check date and time preferences. (May need to consult your IT department).
1. Open control panel or right click the time on the lower right of the taskbar.
2. Select Adjust date/time.
3. Double check the settings are set to automatic and that they reflect the correct time zone, date, and current time. Make any adjustments as needed.
On Mac:
Step One: Check date and time preferences. (May need to consult your IT department)
1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Date & Time.
2. Click the lock in the corner of the window, then enter your administrator password to unlock the settings. (The settings are dimmed when locked.)
3. In the Date & Time pane, make sure that ”Set date and time automatically” is selected and your Mac is connected to the internet. Your Mac can then get the current date and time from the network time server selected in the adjacent menu.
Step Two: Check time zone preferences.
1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Date & Time.
2. Click the lock in the corner of the window, then enter your administrator password to unlock the settings. (The settings are dimmed when locked.)
3. In the Time Zone pane, make sure that ”Set time zone automatically using current location” is selected and your Mac is connected to the internet.
Note: You must be connected to the Internet for all the above options to work. If not, you may choose to set everything manually but automatic is recommended.
