Workshop Types: Single-Session, Varied Multi-Session, and Cohort Multi-Session

Three workshop types. Pick one — it's locked after creation.

Create Workshop wizard Workshop Details step showing the three type radios

Which type to pick

Type Structure Learner picks
Single-Session One session, one or more dates. One date.
Varied Multi-Session A series of sessions, each with its own date options. One date per session.
Cohort Multi-Session Sessions bundled into cohorts. One cohort. Attends every session in it.

Type is locked after creation. If you need to switch, delete the workshop and start over. Registrations do not transfer.

Admin setup differences

  • Single-Session — add dates to one Workshop Session.
  • Varied Multi-Session — create each Session (Session 1, Session 2…), add date options under each.
  • Cohort Multi-Session — the wizard adds a 6th step called Cohorts. Define session structure on Session(s), then build cohorts on Cohorts. Each cohort has specific dates, facilitators, and locations for each session in the sequence.

Varied Multi-Session

Cohort Multi-Session

Register & Select Cohort button opens a Select Workshop Dates side panel with a Select Cohort dropdown. Picking a cohort reveals its full schedule. Clicking Register locks in every session in that cohort at once.
