To create a Workshop, go to Admin > Workshops and click + Create Workshop. The builder has five steps: Workshop Details, Session(s), Audience, Settings, and Notifications. Cohort Multi-Session Workshops have a sixth step, Cohorts.

Open the Workshop builder

  1. Navigate to Admin > Workshops.
  2. Click + Create Workshop in the upper right.

The steps are listed across the top of the builder, so you can see where you are in the process.

Step 1: Workshop Details

  1. Enter a Title.
  2. Under Workshop Type, select Single-Session, Varied Multi-Session, or Cohort Multi-Session.
  3. Write a short description.

You can’t change the type after you create the Workshop. If you’re not sure which type you need, see Picking the right Workshop type before you continue.

Step 2: Session(s)

Click Create Session. A side panel opens with four sub-steps:

  1. Location — choose Online or In Person. For online sessions, you can connect Zoom or Google Meet, or set the Online Meeting Type to Teams or Custom URL and enter a Workshop URL.
  2. Facilitator — select a saved facilitator or add a new one.
  3. Date and Time — set when the session takes place.
  4. Review — confirm the session details and save.

Repeat these steps for each date or session your Workshop needs.

Step 3: Cohorts (Cohort Multi-Session only)

If you selected Cohort Multi-Session, the builder adds a Cohorts step. Build each cohort as a full set of sessions, with a specific date and time for every session in the sequence. Each cohort shows its start and end dates. Learners pick one cohort and attend all of its sessions.

Step 4: Audience

Choose who can see the Workshop in Explore.

Step 5: Settings

Turn the toggles on or off to control how learners interact with the Workshop:

  • Enable Ratings, with options for Allow Feedback, Notify Contact of Feedback, and Show Average Rating
  • Enable Comments
  • Enable Surveys — triggers a Survey after the content is viewed
  • Enable Completion Certificate, with the option to hide the completion date
  • Retaking and related Workshops

Step 6: Notifications

Click Add Notification to set up registration confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups. For each notification, choose:

  • Timing — when a learner registers, or a set time before or after the session (for example, 7 days before the session starts)
  • Channels — one or more of email, Slack, Teams, or in-app

Publish or save as draft

Click Create to publish the Workshop, or Save as Draft to come back to it later. To make changes after publishing, open the Workshop from the list in Admin > Workshops. From there you can edit it, view Host Analytics, or see it as a learner.
