How to work through a Journey assigned to you — step by step, including the steps that unlock immediately and the ones that unlock after a delay.
A Journey is a sequenced learning path. You'll move through it one step at a time, in the order the Journey was built. Some steps unlock right after you finish the one before them; others unlock after a set time delay — typically because the program is designed to let learning settle between steps, or to align with a real-world milestone (a 30-day check-in, a quarterly recert).
Journeys don't appear on the Explore page. They show up in your assignments only after someone — an admin, a manager, or an automated automation — has assigned the Journey to you.
Finding Your Journeys
Open the Assignments tab on your Dashboard. Any Journey assigned to you appears in that list alongside other assigned learning. Click the Journey title to open it.
Working Through a Journey
1. Start the first unlocked step. The first available learning sits at the top of the Journey. Click it to begin.
2. Complete the learning, then return to the Journey. Once you've finished a step, click Return to Journey in the upper left-hand corner. This brings you back to the Journey home page.
3. Check whether the next step has unlocked. If it has, click its title to continue. If it hasn't, the Journey will show you when it will unlock.
When a Step Is Locked
Locked steps show an unlock date instead of a clickable title. There's nothing to do until that date arrives — return to the Journey on or after the date and the step will be available.
If you're seeing a long delay between steps, that's by design — the program author wanted time to pass before the next learning. Continuing too early isn't an option, but the unlock date tells you exactly when to come back.
Exiting a Journey
You can leave a Journey at any time by clicking the X in the top-right corner. That returns you to your Dashboard without affecting your progress — when you come back to the Journey, you'll pick up where you left off.
What to Watch For
Missing the unlock date. Once a step unlocks, it stays unlocked — there's no penalty for opening it later. But waiting too long can push you past the Journey's overall due date if there is one. Check your Assignments tab regularly.
Steps that feel out of order. The order is set by the program author and can't be skipped or rearranged. If something feels off (a prerequisite you haven't seen, content that references later material), reach out to the program owner — they can clarify or adjust the Journey for future learners.
Not seeing a Journey you expected. Journeys only appear in your assignments after they've been assigned to you. If you were told to expect one and don't see it, contact your admin or manager — the assignment may not have been triggered yet.
