Archive content to remove it from Explore without deleting it. Unarchive when you want it back.

Archive is the safe alternative to delete. Archived content disappears from Explore, search results, and learner Dashboards, but the content itself is preserved — completion records, comments, and assignment history stay intact. Unarchive at any time and the content reappears.

Use archive for content that's out of date but might come back (seasonal training, retired product launches, compliance content that may re-cycle), or for content you want to remove without losing the history.

How to Archive

1. Open Content from the left navigation.

2. Find the content you want to archive in the list.

3. Open the action menu (three dots) next to the content.

4. Click Archive. Confirm on the popup.

How to Unarchive

1. Open Content and switch the filter to Archived.

2. Find the archived content.

3. Open the action menu and click Unarchive.

The content immediately becomes available again in Explore, search, and assignments.

What Happens to Active Assignments

If the content was part of an active assignment when you archived it, learners who hadn't completed it lose access. Already-completed records are preserved. Archive content with caution if it's part of an ongoing Learning Track or Automation.

Common Questions

What's the difference between Archive and Delete? Archive is reversible — the content can come back. Delete is permanent. For most cleanup tasks, archive is the right choice.

Can learners see archived content? No. Archived content is invisible to learners. Authors and admins can see it in the archived view.
