You've used all your attempts on an Assessment and need a reset. The reset is an admin or instructor action.
Many Assessments allow a fixed number of attempts — typically one, two, or three. Once you've used them all, the Assessment locks. To take it again, an admin or the Assessment's grader has to reset your attempts.
How to Get Your Attempts Reset
1. Contact the Assessment's owner. The owner is typically the program admin or the person who assigned the Assessment to you. Their name is on the Assessment page.
2. Explain why you need a reset. The owner has discretion — they may reset attempts after a genuine technical issue, an interrupted session, or a reasonable second chance.
3. The reset is immediate. Once the admin resets your attempts, refresh the Assessment page and you'll be able to take it again.
