You can see that content exists but can't open it. The fix is on the content owner's side, not yours.
Continu's content has visibility rules. Some content is open to everyone in your organization; some is segmented to specific roles, departments, or groups. If you see a piece of content listed but can't open it, your account isn't in the eligible audience.
How to Get Access
1. Identify the content. Note the title and where you saw it (Explore, a link someone shared, a search result).
2. Find the content owner. The author or owner is usually listed on the content page. If you can't see the page at all, the person who linked you to it is usually the right contact.
3. Make the request. Explain why you need access. The content owner can adjust the segmentation, add you to the eligible group, or share the content with you directly.
Why This Happens
Most often, content is segmented to a specific role or department because the information is genuinely role-specific — sales playbooks for sales, compliance content for franchisees, etc. The segmentation is intentional, not a bug.
Occasionally, segmentation is accidentally over-restrictive. The content owner may not have realized your role should have access. Asking is the right move.
If You Should Have Access by Role
If you believe your role should automatically include this content but the access isn't there, your role assignment in Continu may be wrong. See How do I get additional permissions? for role changes.
