This article will help you on how to upload or link video content in Continu, and how to replace videos once uploaded. 

Please note: supported video formats included .AVI, .MOV, and .MP4, with a maximum upload limit of 1GB.

1. Navigate to Create on the left hand navigation, then click Content in the drop down

2. Click on the Add Content link

4. Click on the Upload a Video icon and select the video you want to upload from your computer. Press Next to continue.

Note: The video will need to be transcoded into Continu. This process can take some time. You will be given the option to save progress at any time and return to this content to complete the creation steps. Once the video is transcoded, you can publish the content. An email will be sent when the video is fully transcoded.

 

5. Complete the required fields: Title, Author Name, Description

6. Add Banner and Cover images to your video. See Banner and Cover Images: Photo Editor and Best Practices for instructions on adding images. 

7.  Edit your settings. See Editing your Settings for more information on the Settings Menu.

8. Click Publish to complete or click Exit Preview to make changes. If your video is not transcoded, you will see an option to save instead of publishing. You can return and publish this content once the video has completed transcoding. 

 

Linking Videos From Youtube and Vimeo

1. Navigate to Create on the left hand navigation, then click Content in the drop down

2. Click on the Add Content link

3. Click on the Video icon

4. Click on the Link icon to add a link from Youtube, Vimeo or a direct link.

Note: Only Youtube and Vimeo streaming links are supported. If you are using links to services other than Youtube or Vimeo your videos may not play. You may be able to embed those videos within an Article.

5. Paste the URL into the Add a Link box and click Add

6. Complete the required fields: Title, Author Name, Description

7. Add Banner and Cover images to your video. See Banner and Cover Images: Photo Editor and Best Practices for instructions on adding images. 

8. Edit your settings. See Editing your Settings for more information on the Settings Menu.

9. Click Publish

 

 

Replacing Videos

Uploaded Videos

If you need to replace the video, you can do so from the New Video tab. Press the Click here to replace video button above the existing video. Next, choose the new video from your computer. Once the video has been uploaded, press Update to save the new video. This video may take a few moments to transcode.

Linked Videos

If you need to replace the video, you can do so from the New Video tab. Press the Need to change the video link button above the existing video. Paste the new link and then press Add. The new video link will replace the existing video. Press update to save your changes.
