Bulk Assignment Editing allows you to efficiently manage learner assignments across one or more instances. Whether you're adjusting due dates, removing users, or sending reminders, this tool helps you take quick action—especially when managing large-scale or time-sensitive programs.

🔍 What You Can Do with Bulk Editing

Bulk editing allows you to take action on user assignments across a single assignment instance:

  • Remove users who no longer need to complete the assignment

  • Update due dates for selected users

  • Send reminders or overdue notifications to prompt action

🛠️ How to Bulk Edit User Assignments

  1. Go to the Assignments section in Continu.

  2. Select the assignment you want to manage and open the Instances tab.

  3. Click into the relevant instance and switch to the Assignment Recepients view.

  4. Click the three dot Actions button on the right side of specific Users to:

    • Remove selected users

    • Update due dates

    • Send reminder or overdue notifications

✅ Best Practices

  • Review your selection carefully before removing users to avoid affecting active learners

  • Double-check updated due dates to ensure they align with program expectations

  • Use reminders strategically to avoid overwhelming learners with too many notifications

Common Questions

Q: Can I remove a user who has already completed the assignment?
No. Only users with assignments that are still in progress can be removed. If a user has already completed the assignment, their record will remain in reporting and cannot be removed from the instance.

Q: Can I bulk edit across multiple assignments?
Not at this time. Bulk editing actions must be performed within each individual assignment instance.

Q: Can I undo a bulk change?
No. There is currently no undo function. Double-check your selected users and actions before confirming changes.
