The three ways to sign in to Continu — Single Sign-On, Email and Password, and Employee ID and Password — plus how to reset your password if you're stuck.
Most organizations use one of three sign-in methods. Which one you use depends on how your IT team set up Continu for your company. If you're not sure which applies to you, check with your manager, IT team, or Learning team before you try to sign in.
If you already have an account but can't get in, the most common cause is a typo in the email field or a forgotten password. Reset password flow is in this article.
Sign In With Single Sign-On (SSO)
SSO is the most common sign-in method for enterprise customers. You sign in with the same credentials you use for your other work apps (Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, OneLogin, etc.).
1. Go to your organization's Continu URL (typically yourcompany.continu.com).
2. Click Sign in with SSO.
3. You'll be redirected to your identity provider. Sign in with your work credentials.
4. You'll be returned to Continu, signed in.
If you see an error like "The identity provider is not providing the correct fields to Continu," your IT team needs to adjust the SSO configuration. See The identity provider error when logging in.
Sign In With Email and Password
Email sign-in is used when your organization hasn't enabled SSO, or when you're an external user (partner, vendor, contractor) without an account in your organization's identity provider.
1. Go to your organization's Continu URL.
2. Enter your work email and password.
3. Click Sign In.
If this is your first time signing in, you may have received an invitation email with a link to set your password. The link expires — if it's been a while since you got the email, use the password reset flow below.
Sign In With Employee ID and Password
Some organizations use a custom Employee ID field instead of email. This is common in industries with deskless workers or where employees don't have personal company emails.
1. Go to your organization's Continu URL.
2. Enter your Employee ID and password.
3. Click Sign In.
Your Employee ID comes from your HR system or your manager. If you don't know it, ask your manager or your Learning team.
Reset Your Password
If you sign in with email or Employee ID and you've forgotten your password, you can reset it yourself.
1. On the sign-in page, click Forgot Password?
2. Enter your email address (or Employee ID, if that's your sign-in method).
3. Continu sends a password reset email. Click the link in the email.
4. Set a new password.
The reset email link expires after a short window. If the link doesn't work, request a new one.
SSO users don't have a password to reset in Continu — your password is managed by your identity provider (Okta, Google, Microsoft, etc.). Reset it there.
Common Sign-In Issues
"Invalid credentials" with a known-good password. Most often a typo in the email field. Confirm you're using your work email exactly as your organization provisioned it. If you're sure, request a password reset.
"Account suspended" or "Account inactive." Your account has been deactivated, usually because you've changed roles or your HR record was updated. Contact your Continu admin or your manager. See My account is suspended. How do I reinstate it?
SSO redirect loop. You get sent to your identity provider, sign in, and get sent back — only to be redirected again. This is usually a session cookie problem in your browser. Clear cookies for both your identity provider and Continu, then try again.
Wrong organization's Continu URL. Companies sometimes have multiple Continu instances, especially after acquisitions. Confirm the URL with your manager if you can't sign in.
Signing Out
Click your profile icon at the top right, then Sign Out. SSO users may need to also sign out of their identity provider for a full sign-out.
