Quick answers about Eddy — what it is, where to use it, what content it knows, and how to enable it.
This FAQ covers the most common questions about Eddy, Continu's conversational learning agent. For the full picture of how Eddy fits into Continu, see Eddy: The Conversational Learning Agent in Continu.
What is Eddy?
Eddy is Continu's conversational learning agent. It helps learners get quick answers from your content without working through a full training. Eddy is intended for in-the-flow learning — short questions answered in context — rather than replacing structured training programs.
Where Can Learners Interact With Eddy?
In-app. The chat window inside Continu.
Slack. Via the Slack for Eddy app, configured on the Continu Integrations page.
Microsoft Teams. Via the Teams for Eddy app, configured on the Continu Integrations page.
Each surface uses the same Eddy with the same content access. The conversation experience is consistent across them.
What Content Does Eddy Use?
Indexed for Eddy: Articles, PDFs, and uploaded videos.
Not indexed: External video links (YouTube, Vimeo embeds), Workshops, SCORM packages, and Assessments.
If a learner asks about content that lives in a non-indexed type, Eddy can't answer from that source. The strategic guidance on what to publish as native Continu content vs external is in Content Strategy.
How Should Learners Interact With Eddy?
Ask specific, contextual questions — the same way you'd ask a colleague. "How do I assign a course to a specific group?" works better than a single keyword like "assign." Eddy clarifies if a question is too broad.
Learners can submit feedback on each answer using the thumbs up/thumbs down controls. Feedback flows back to admins and the product team — it's how Eddy improves over time and how content gaps are identified.
Where Can Admins See Eddy Usage?
Eddy AI Agent page. High-level stats — total prompts, active learners, top content sources.
Insights → Eddy AI Agent dashboard. Detailed analytics including:
- Prompt volume and patterns over time
- Which content articles, PDFs, and videos Eddy is pulling from most
- What questions learners are asking
- Learner feedback per answer
How Do I Enable Eddy?
Eddy enablement is a customer-level decision. Request access from Admin → Eddy AI Agent. Your Continu account team confirms the enablement and walks through any integration setup (Slack, Teams) you want to include.
