How to enable the Slack integration for Continu — for notifications on shared/assigned/completed content and search via Continubot.

The Slack integration lets users receive Continu notifications in Slack (content shared, assigned, completed) and search the Continu content library directly from Slack via Continubot.

For the strategic context on notification design, see Notifications: Architecture and Strategy.

How to Set Up the Slack Integration

1. From the navigation bar, select Admin > Integrations.

2. Scroll down and click the Slack link.

3. Click the Add to Slack button.

4. Enter your team's Slack domain and click Continue.

5. Sign into your Slack account (via Google or Slack credentials).

6. Authorize Continu for your team's Slack account by clicking Authorize.

You'll receive a confirmation email when the integration is active.

Searching Continu Content from Slack

Navigate to Continubot in Slack. Type find followed by your keyword or phrase. Continubot searches all available content in Continu and returns the results in Slack.

Routing Content Feedback to Slack Channels

Once the Slack integration is connected, you can also route content feedback notifications to specific Slack channels. This is configured on each piece of content's settings. The Continubot must be added to each target Slack channel for notifications to appear. See Enable Feedback on Content for the feedback routing configuration.

Configuration Pitfalls

Continubot Not Added to the Target Channel. Feedback notifications routed to a Slack channel where Continubot isn't a member fail silently. Verify Continubot is in each target channel.

Slack Domain Format. The Slack domain field expects your team's Slack subdomain, not the full URL. Enter just the subdomain part.

Authorization Scope. The Slack admin who authorizes the integration grants Continu access. Verify the admin has the authority to do this for your org before starting.

Forgetting to Configure Per-Content Routing. Installing the Slack integration doesn't automatically route any notifications — per-content routing is configured separately in each content piece's settings.

Where This Fits

You're here because you're enabling Slack for Continu. For notification design overall, see Notifications: Architecture and Strategy. For per-content feedback routing setup, see Enable Feedback on Content.
