Adding Video Content In Continu

This guide will provide instructions on how to upload or link video content in Continu, as well as how to replace videos once uploaded

Please note: supported video formats included .AVI, .MOV, and .MP4, with a maximum upload limit of 1GB.

Step One: Navigate to Create on the left hand navigation, then click Content in the drop down

Step Two: Click on the Add Content link

Step Four: Click on the Upload a Video icon and select the video you want to upload from your computer. Press Next to continue.

Note: The video will need to be transcoded into Continu. This process can take some time. You will be given the option to save progress at any time and return to this content to complete the creation steps. Once the video is transcoded, you can publish the content. An email will be sent when the video is fully transcoded.

 

Step Five: Complete the following fields; Title, Author, Name, Description, and Tags. Select Next to continue once all information is added.

Step Six: Add Banner and Cover images to your video. See Banner and Cover Images: Photo Editor and Best Practices for instructions on adding images. 

Step Seven: Optional - Select the category or categories you would like your video to appear in on the Explore Menu. 

Step Eight: Edit your settings. See Editing your Settings for more information on the Settings Menu.

Step Nine: Click Publish to complete or click Exit Preview to make changes. If your video is not transcoded, you will see an option to save instead of publishing. You can return and publish this content once the video has completed transcoding. 

Linking Videos

Step One: Click on the Overview section of Continu

Step Four: Click on Add a Link to add a link from Youtube, Vimeo or a direct link

Step Five: Paste the URL into the Add a Link box and click Add

Step Six: You will be able to see a preview of your video. Click the Next button

Step Seven: Complete the following fields; Title, Author, Name, Description, and Tags. Select Next to continue once all information is added.

Step Eleven: View a preview. Click the Publish button to complete the upload

Replacing Videos

Uploaded Videos

If you need to replace the video, you can do so from the New Video tab. Press the Click here to replace video button above the existing video. Next, choose the new video from your computer. Once the video has been uploaded, press Update to save the new video. This video may take a few moments to transcode.

Linked Videos

If you need to replace the video, you can do so from the New Video tab. Press the Need to change the video link button above the existing video. Paste the new link and then press Add. The new video link will replace the existing video. Press update to save your changes.
